Before opening the device, always pull the power plug!!! Mains connection Plug the power cable into the main power socket. Page 9 3. Move the switch to the V position to acieve this. Check that the switch is in the right position before switching on your Dreambox.

Otherwise irreversible damages might result. Note: You cannot record any signals onto your Dreambox using this connector. The AC3 signal is also available at this port in case the selected channel transmits Dolby Digital signals. The Serial Port is used as a service port to update the operating system. Please connect a serial null modem cable here. This port is also used to update the operating system of your Dreambox. Please use a regular patch cable to connect your Dreambox to your LAN.

Page 10 The amount of supported USB devices depends on the installed image Software and is still under development. This offers you the option to have more channels available for parallel recording. Remember to shutdown your Dreambox into Deep-StandbyMode in order for the receiver to work. You do not need an external connection cable. Page 11 1.

This makes the handling of the Dreambox very easy for you. All options are indicated by four colored dots or beams red, green, yellow, blue in the OSD-Menu and can be started with the Option-Buttons on the Remote Control.

Depending on the chosen Menu, these options do vary. The Infobar will also indicate this. It changes from showing the channel information to showing the control symbols for the PVR-Mode. Navigation-Buttons In general the menus are controlled using the Navigation-Buttons on your remote control. To get into a submenu you have to press the OK-Button. See chapter TV-Mode setup. See chapter 4. It will shortly light up once your press the button. Page 13 Numeric-Keypad Enter a service number to directly access the option by using the Numeric Keypad.

The service numbers are on the left side of the service list. The TV station has to submit teletext information; otherwise this feature cannot be used. If you have selected a sub service see chapter 4. Additionally these buttons can be used to delete characters during text input. A crossed speaker symbol will appear on the TV screen. The Mute-Button deletes a character during text input.

The OSD main menu has the following options: You can switch to the needed option by pressing the Navigation-Buttons up or down. The shown options may vary depending on the service list you selected. The Infobar will show the control symbols. You can instantly start recording by pressing the red Options-Button on your remote control. Depending on the menu you currently are in the options will change and will be named differently.

Rewind-Button Use the Rewind-Button to rewind during playback of a recording. Record-Button Use the Record-Button to start an instant recording. Installation 2. See chapter 1. Otherwise irreversible damages to your Dreambox might result!!! The setup wizard will guide you through the first time installation.

Follow the instructions on the screen. See chapter 3. Start wizard. Start wizard The start wizard helps you with the basic setup of your Dreambox. You can choose from the following video output options: 1. Scart using a Scart cable 3. Press the OK-Button to activate. You are taken to the next step. You can now select the video mode. The possible options strongly depend on the video output mode you have selected in the step before. To learn more about the options refer to chapter Select your desired option with the Navigation-Buttons up and down.

If your screen stays black just wait 20 seconds and the picture will be automatically returned to 60Hz. To start the test press the OK-Button.

You can see the result on your screen. Finally you can adjust the screen using some test screens. The video outputz should now be configured. Page 18 The start wizard takes you through the basic setup of your Dreambox. Press the OK-Button on your remote control to get to the next step.

You will be asked if you want to set the basic settings for your Dreambox now or if you want to quit the start wizard. Using the Navigation-Buttons up and down select your desired option and press the OK-Button to activate your selection. Page 19 3. Otherwise you will be asked to perform a service scan. Detailed information about the service scan can be found in chapter Press the OK-Button on your remote control to get to start the configuration. For further information please refer to chaper Press the OK-Button on your remote control to get to activate the network device.

The activation process will take a short while. Once the activation process is finished you will see the message depicted on the left. You will see this screen once the activation process was successful. Otherwise you will get the chance to try it once again from the start. Basic operation 4. To put your Dreambox into Standby-Mode either press the Power-Button on your remote control or directly on your Dreambox.

Holding down the Power-Button on your remote control for three seconds will put your Dreambox into the Deep-Standby-Mode. Alternatively you can push down the PowerButton on your Dreambox for 5 seconds. Page 22 All your settings will be saved now and your Dreambox goes into Deep-Standby-Mode afterwards saves energy! Navigate to the desired option and confirm by pressing the OKButton. Sleep timer: Put your Dreambox into Standby after a duration of time that can be chosen freely.

For more info see chapter Standby: Puts your Dreambox into Standby mode. Restart: Your Dreambox will be rebooted. Pressing the 0 on the Numeric-Keypad will enable you to skip back and forth between the two most recently watched services. This feature is quite useful during commercial breaks since it enables you to watch another channel and quickly check if your movies is back on.

A crossed speaker symbol will appear on the screen. Page 23 4. Use the Navigation-Buttons up and down to move to desired audio track. Press the OK-Button to select. The contents of this menu will vary from service to service. Press the red Options-Button to toggle AC3 downmix on and off. Use the Navigation-Buttons up and down to move to one of the sub services. A list with the available subtitles will show up.

Use the Navigation-Buttons up and down to select a desired subtitle and press the OK-Button to activate. The screenshot on the left shows you an example of how a subtitle looks. To deactivate subtitles process as described previously, just select deactivate subtitles instead of a subtitle page. Note: Keep in mind that not every station offers subtitles. If no subtitles are available, the subtitle list will stay empty. Page 24 4.

The Infobar shows all necessary Information about the selected service. Is highlighted yellow as soon as a show is broadcasted in Dolby Digital. Is highlighted yellow as soon as a show is broadcasted in aspect ratio. Is highlighted yellow as soon as a station transmits Teletext information. Lights up during the recording process. Subservices Audio Options Extensions 5. The Dreambox automatically searches for similar broadcasts in the background.

Page 25 Pressing the red Options-Button opens a listing of similar broadcasts. By pressing the green Options-Button you can set a timer for this rerun. For additional information about recording by timer please see chapter 7. You can also access this view by pressing 1. This way you can very quickly and easily access the Single-EPG of every service. Pressing the green Options-Button will give you the possibility to automatically copy the start and end time of the selected show into a recording timer.

Select the bouquet for which you want the Multi-EPG view. This view shows the currently airing shows on the services listed in the left column. Using the Navigation-Buttons up and down you can select a service, just like in the service list, and change to the selected service by pressing the red Options-Button.

Page 26 General overview of the following programming. A window will appear where you can enter a time and date. After you have entered the desired time and date press the OKButton to activate you selection. More detailed information about the sleected show is displayed in the bottom part of the EPG. You can directly set a timer for the selected show, by just pressing the green Options-Button. Edit the channellist What is a bouquet?

A bouquet can be thought of something like a folder. Every channel equals a page in this folder and the pages are sorted into categories. This way you can create several topic related bouquets. Note: You can only delete channels in the favorites view!

You favorites bouquet will stay untouched. To see how it is done refer to section 6. Refer to section Use the Numeric-Keypad on your remote control to enter the name for the new bouquet. The according letters are printed on button.

The Mute-Button deletes a character. Press the OK-Button to add the new bouquet to your favorites list. You will be taken back to the "Channellist menu". Page 29 6. You can switch views by pressing the red, green, yellow and blue Options-Buttons.

So I gave all my old plastic storage bins to my niece. A bonus - the DreamBox is even pretty! It lives along the edge of my living room now and actually looks like it belongs there, even matching the woodwork.

I do love my Dreambox! I love not having to set up all my items to get started with creating. I love that everything has a place. I feel inspired daily! I had to wait for side supports and small totes. Each came at different time. It would have been nice to get everything at once, which did not happen. The dreambox is a great storage solution, you can fit a ton of supplies in it.

I like it so far, the only complaints are that the table does NOT fit into the bolt slide correctly and customer support totally SUCKS, they will say whatever just to appease you. It's also very expensive. I am really enthusiastic about organizing all my crafts in this "craftily" designed piece of furniture. Form the beginning to the end has been flawless. The toughest part was getting it up my road into the garage.

But with determination and a great drive we did it. The directions were seamless a woman must have written them. I installed it all by myself and I am My neighbor did help me do the heavy lifting.

Love it. Easy to put together. Still missing some pieces. Nice to have everything in one area. So far everything I had in three different places fits into it. Love how easy it is to use. I love the DreamBox, but I would love it more if I had the totes that were to come with it originally, plus the other totes and things I ordered.

I understand there is a shortage, but I see others receiving their items, and I haven't received mine yet, and I was told there is no ship date as of yet, and it has been months???? The create box itself is great but the 5 month wait to receive it and then an additional 2 month wait still haven't shipped for the medium totes that did not come with the create box itself is very troubling.

Building the Dream Box we ran into some snags. We had a piece that was completely drilled wrong and had to wait for a new correct one to be delivered to us. We also were given outdated instructions and spent a lot of time looking for pieces we never got, and found out that we had the wrong instructions and that those pieces were not included because the instructions were now different.

We also came across a few missing pilot holes that we had to drill ourselves. In fact we sometimes found some of the drawings in the instructions to not really be the same as what we were looking at.

Once built I really love the Dream Box. Unfortunately I waited a long time to get my swing door supports, which held up me being able to fill the swing doors, and I am still waiting for my medium totes, which have been backordered for a very long time.

I am anxious to get them so I can finish my set up! I love how much the Dream Box holds! The large totes are amazing as to how much you can fit in them, and the whole Dream Box is truly a crafter's dream!! I can't wait to get my hands on those medium totes so I can be truly done with loading it up!! This box was for my wife. She has made great use of it and loves it.

Very glad we bought it. However we are still waiting for the side tables and some storage pieces. No word on when any are coming. This takes away rom the experience.

I love my dream box. Now I have all my craft materials in one convenient place. It was definitely worth the wait! Still waiting for my medium totes but all is good. I am so impressed with the amount of my supplies it holds. I am too organized to be stressed now. I simply open the doors and am able to see the items I am looking for.

I love it. I know Covid has created a lot of delays, and that has been disappointing. I am still waiting for the 20 tubs that should have been delivered with everything else. I am trying to be patient. My only disappointment is the quality of plastic in the various containers.

It is rather flimsy. I am impressed with the variety of storage this unit provides. I wish you well and hope that you can better manage production in the future. It holds a lot. Organized and visible. I added my own thread caddy and did some other custom items. Love it e ven though I'm not finished putting everything in it. The cabinet won't ever be closed so I have great hidden storage step ladder, ironing board, shelves. Love my dreambox. Just received the left side table and am waiting for the totes to arrive.

The quality of this DreamBox is above expectation. It was easy to put together with the instructions given and it is very sturdy. I love my DreamBox! The dreambox is a dream come true! It was so well thought out. There was room for all my crafting supplies. I had struggled for years to craft with all of my supplies in various containers and rooms.

Now everything is organized and easily accessible. Every inch of the dreambox is usable! I also love the ability to make it my own, its like a blank slate that you can decorate to make it your own. My only regret is that I didn't purchase it sooner!

Still filling it up but it cleared out so many "extra" totes, bins, baskets and carts of craft supplies. My mom was so amazed AND it looks beautiful. I am loving the accessibility of everything and just happy I can move so much into it and not wander around the house grabbing things I need for projects. Love it! One thing though? I wish the table had a lock for when you close it up.

Every time we close it, which is not too often, the table drops and bumps the doors out a bit. I know from the forums this is pretty common, so there has to be something you guys can do on the creating end of things to prevent this.

And yes, we are on leveled hardwood, so it's not an uneven ground. I am so happy with my dream box! It the best purchase I have made! It makes it so easy to craft!

I am crafting nearly everyday now! There were a few things I had questions about concerning the construction of the Dream Box. I contacted customer service and they were a great help. It is a work in progress. I love my Dream box! I am so glad we bought it. I know where things are and can get to them very easily. I love the table that is attached. Everything is in arms reach. I am waiting on the medium totes and I totally understand the delay on those.

I sent an email and received a reply the very next day. This whole experience has been great and I am very happy with your product. All my stuff was broken totes and table and all the closet was scratch and I haven't recibe the replacement for all my totes. I'm loving my craft box. Love the table and the different ways it can be used. I got the 40 piece shelves and totes package.

For me its plenty of storage. Waiting for my throne I mean craft chair then there'll be no stopping me. My space is used as an office where I do my genealogy research and a craft space as well as an occasional guest room. Crafting has taken a backseat to research in recent times, but I still have several sewing projects in the pipeline.
